Established by Khimji Dayabhai in the year 1936, Khimji Jewellers is now an epitome of trust in Odisha. The entrepreneurial odyssey of Khimji Dayabhai started with his first store in Baripada town of Mayurbhanj District in the very year the state of Odisha was formed. With his utter passion for jewellery craft and a vision beyond business, Khimji Dayabhai started writing new chapters in the jewellery industry of Odisha in terms of exquisite designs, detailed craftsmanship and purity. The family of the second generation comprising of Shri Dinesh Khimji, his son Shri Mitesh Dinesh Khimji, Shri Binodroy Khimji Nanda and his son Shri Sumeet Binodroy Khimji, starting from 2011 embarked on massive diversification drive into automobiles, real estate and lifestyle products which has catapulted the group into a major business house in Odisha. As per reports, organised lending activity against gold has huge untapped potential in the Eastern India and Odisha in particular. Therefore, in the year 2022, the promoters decided to enter the business of gold loan as the new business was found to be in sync with its core business strength of gold. It started its service of providing Gold Loan to the customers in the twin cities of Odisha with a desire to serve more population and geography and play an instrumental role in the transformation of lives of the people
Khimji Finserve Private Limited (Formerly known as Vee Gee Credit Capital Private Limited) was incorporated as a private limited company on 9th March 1999 at Shillong. The Registered Office was later shifted to Assam and then, to West Bengal. It is a NBFC in the Base Layer holding a licence (COR) from the Reserve Bank of India. The erstwhile management had gradually shifted the ownership to the management of Khimji Jewellers Group with due diligence of law and the process has been completed in the year 2022. The Company is an RBI Registered NBFC providing Gold Loan to customers in a retail business model. Khimji Finserve Private Limited (KFPL) has its presence in 10 districts of Odisha and aims to expand its presence further by opening additional branches in major urban and district headquarter locations across Odisha within FY 24-25. In the current FY, the company is also expanding its footprint in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with more branches, followed by further expansion to other states of India.
